Hamilton Type 1 RAAF Issue

Royal Australian Air Force issue and has the appropriate RAAF markings on the caseback.

In 1970, Hamilton thought of a marginally extraordinary watch for pilots dissimilar to the normal Hamiltons gave to warriors on the ground.
It was assigned as Type 1 Navigation watch and was given in restricted numbers to USAF and RAAF pilots.
It had a similar dial format as that of GG-W-113 Hamiltons yet were somewhat bigger in distance across, with SWISS printed underneath the six o'clock marker. The plan of the case took after that of British Mark XI particular, complete with 17mm haul width.
